Small Thing Big Idea
A video series about overlooked things with big impact. I pitched, wrote, and told one of my favorite stories about design – Harry Beck's revolutionary tube map from 1930s.

Concepting, writing, storytelling
Everyone knows TED for their talks, but they also produce other formats like Small Thing Big Idea – a series of short episodes featuring stories about the impact of simple everyday things.
I love the story of why metro maps look the way do, so I pitched it for the series. I provided the storytelling for the first pilot episode, produced by Angela Cheng.
The idea was to film recognized personalities – from past TED speakers to industry icons – to ultimately tell these stories. Here's the final published episode featuring design legend Michael Beirut. It was one of the series' most watched episodes.
